The Chief Director of the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs Magdalene Apenteng, has urged members of the Preparation Committee putting together the Ministry’s Sector Medium – Term Development Plan, (SMTDP) 2022-2025, to work hard to complete the national exercise within the stipulated time. She noted that preparation of the plan is a daunting task but expressed confidence in the ability of members of the committee to carry out the assignment.
The Chief Director assured the committee of the Ministry’s support to bring the process to its logical completion. Mrs Apenteng made these remarks at the maiden meeting of the Preparation Committee in Accra. She said with the expiration of the current SMTDP, 2018-2021 this year, there is the need to constitute a Preparation Committee for the new SMTDP, 2021-2022. She explained that the SMTDP 2021-2022 is a 4-year strategic plan of the ministry which clearly states the programmes, projects and broad activities to be undertaken within the period and must be in line with government aspirations for the period and conform to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals- Agenda 2030.
